MCA through its various notifications has implemented certain regulatory changes. The brief on the same are as follows-

a. Circular for clarification on holding of Annual General Meeting (AGM) or EGM through Video Conferencing
MCA has allowed Companies whose AGMs are due in the year 2023 or 2024, to conduct their AGMs through VC or other Audio Visual means on or before 30th September, 2024. However, MCA further clarified that the extension should not be construed as conferring any extension of statutory time for holding AGMs by the companies under the Companies Act, 2013. Apart from AGMs, extension for conducting EGM or transact items through postal ballot in accordance with framework provided in the previous circulars up to 30th September, 2024.

b. MCA has extended tenure of Company Law committee till 16.09.2024
The committee for examining and making recommendations to the Government on various provisions and issues pertaining to implementation of the Companies Act, 2013 and Limited Liability Partnership Act, 2008 was constituted on 18th September, 2019.

c. MCA has replaced Form 3 (Information with regard to LLP agreement and changes, if any, made therein) and Form 4 (Notice of appointment, cessation, change in name / address / designation of designated partner or partners and consent to become a partner / designated partner) under the Limited Liability Partnership Rules, 2009.
