The Department of Public Enterprises (DPE) recently released circular informing that the government has approved “Health and Nutrition” as the common theme for CSR activities by Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) for the Financial Year 2023-24. All ministries / departments have also been requested to bring the same to the notice of CPSEs under their respective administrative control for information and compliance.

DPE has been issuing various guidelines time to time for strengthening corporate governance structure in government companies.  The Schedule VII of the Companies Act, 2013 also provide guidance on spending of CSR money.
