Ministry of Corporate Affairs has amended the Companies (Creation and Maintenance of databank of Independent Directors) rules instructing Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) to prepare an Annual Report on the capacity building of Independent directors which will include information about the Independent Directors participation with E-learning modules, other training programs/courses and colloquium/workshops/events of ID Databank released/organized by the IICA and attended by an Independent Director during the financial year and also overall participation since launch of the databank. The report will be disbursed to the concerned ID and the company in which he/she serves as ID.
