Insolvency and Bankruptcy code was introduced with the purpose to remove obstacles in smooth flow of insolvency proceedings of depressed companies. Since implementation, it has secured many resolution plans worth thousands of crores of lenders. Recently, CRISIL studied five stressed steel cases which were acquired under National Company Law Tribunal. Their acquirers have been able to turn these capacities into positive trend.
