The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), vide Notification No.58/2015-2020 dated 12 February 2021, has made certain amendments to the Importer-Exporter Code (IEC) related provisions under Chapter-1 and Chapter-2 of Foreign Trade Policy 2015-20 (FTP). Updation of data of IEC on yearly basis is now mandatory which is important for organizations having frequent import and export transactions to avoid any delay of shipments.
