In the line of steps to strengthen innovation in the Capital Market, SEBI revised the objective and eligibility criteria of its innovation sandbox to encourage innovation and boost participation. Innovation sandbox facilitates access to the environment (testing facilities and test data) provided by enabling organizations such as stock exchanges, depositories and qualified registrars and share transfer agents (QRTAs), where innovators (sandbox applicants) would test their innovations in isolation from the live market.

Steering Committee to be formed by an organization to drive innovative sandbox consisting of representatives of SEBI. The Innovation Sandbox web portal can be accessed by organizations to make the entire sandbox participation lifecycle (applying, tracking, on-boarding, monitoring, reporting, etc.) completely digital to ensure transparency and efficiency.
