Setting orients you about the IICA’s capacity building initiative during the COVID-19 crisis by way of conducting a series of Webinars/Virtual Master classes etc. To take this initiative forward, a Power Talk on the “Dynamics of Independent Director Profession” was conducted on 21st July, 2020. The power talk was aimed at orienting the Independent Directors about the dynamics of the emerging profession of Independent Directorship. The deliberations and discussions were focused on their role in accordance with the laws, the tenets of the profession and the possibilities for enhancing their contribution in future. The discussions were attended by more than 350 Independent Directors of the nation.
Vignettes showcase views and learning from experienced directors and/or reputed research institutions by referring to the outcomes of their research study/report. This edition of the newsletter presents the excerpts from a recent study conducted by the Centre for Creative Leadership (CCL). The referred report study is titled as “Board Leadership in Asia”.
