Extension of time for Extraordinary General Meetings (EGM) through Video Conference (VC) or Other Audio Visual Means (OAVM) or passing of certain items only through postal ballot without convening general meeting.
The circulars from Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) in April 2020 has allowed companies to pass ordinary and special resolutions by holding EGM through video conferencing or other audio visual means or passing of certain items only through postal ballots without convening general meetings upto 30th June, 2020. This period was further extended till 30th September by MCA through another circular dated 15/6/2020.
In this respect, time period for holding of extraordinary general meetings through video conferencing or other audio visual means or passing of certain items only through postal ballots without convening general meetings has further been extended by MCA till 31st December, 2020.
