As per section 62 of the Companies Act, 2013, notice has to be send by courier or postal services by listed companies going for a right issue. However, in view of the pandemic situation, it was clarified by MCA that in case of rights issue opening upto 31st July, 2020, non compliance of sending notices as mentioned above will not be considered as a violation of the said provisions. Now, considering the continuance of the present pandemic situations, the date has been further extended from 31st July, 2020 to 31st December, 2020.
