IICA has signed an MoU with the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI). The objective of the MoU is to form a strategic alliance between the institutions to empower and build the capacities of the Independent Directors.

The MoU was signed by CMA Balwinder Singh, President ICAI and Dr. Niraj Gupta, Nodal Officer of ID Databank and Head of SoCGPP, IICA on the 9^th of January, 2020 at the Global Submit 2020 organized by ICAI at New Delhi. Various other representatives of ICAI were also present at the event, during the signing of the MoU.

The Institutions have collaborated to work towards:

1. continuous professional development of the Independent Directors by jointly organizing initiatives such as researches, case studies, etc.;
2. jointly organizing developmental workshops, seminars, webinars, national conferences on various contemporary issues;
3. promoting Independent Directorship as a Profession, amongst the existing professional members of ICAI;
4. taking Independent Directors profession ahead by advocating national and global best practices.
