IICA has signed an MoU with the Institute of Company Secretaries of India. The objective of the MoU is to form a strategic alliance between the institutions to empower and build the capacities of the Independent Directors. The MoU was signed by CS Ranjeet Pandey, Past President, ICSI and Dr. Niraj Gupta, Nodal Officer of ID Databank and Head of SoCGPP, IICA on the 4^th of January, 2020 at the National Conference of Corporate CS at Mumbai. Various other representatives of ICSI were also present at the event, during the signing of the MoU.

The Institutions have collaborated to work towards:

1. continuous professional development of the Independent Directors by jointly organizing initiatives such as researches, case studies, etc.;
2. jointly organizing developmental workshops, seminars, webinars, national conferences on various contemporary issues;
3. promoting “Independent Directorship as a Profession”, amongst the existing professional members of ICSI;
4. taking Independent Directors profession ahead by advocating national and global best practices.
